I help homeowners make better decisions about their audio and video systems without the pressure of a sales pitch. My role is to help you understand your options, determine what makes sense for your space and budget, and avoid expensive mistakes before they happen.
I started Reference Theater Consulting because I saw how difficult it can be to separate good advice from a sales recommendation. Audio and video systems involve countless choices, and spending more doesn’t always mean getting a better result. The right solution depends on the room, the system as a whole, and what matters most to you.
My approach comes from years of hands-on experience planning, building, upgrading, and fine-tuning audio and video systems—from everyday living spaces to dedicated home theaters. I understand how equipment choices, room layout, acoustics, installation decisions, and budget all work together, and I use that experience to help clients make informed decisions without unnecessary complexity.

Reference Theater Consulting doesn’t sell equipment or work on commission. Recommendations are based on what makes sense for your project—not what generates the biggest sale. If the equipment you already own is the right choice, I’ll tell you. If a less expensive option makes more sense, I’ll tell you that too.
